Our Vision: Promoting a safe, healthy, and supportive community by giving opportunities, recognition, and skills to further develop youth, family, and community.
Our coalition was originally founded in the 90s, and was called MC Squared Community Coalition. In 2017, we began using the Communities That Care model.
CTC helps communities prevent problems before they develop.
Guiding Good Choices parenting class and Intro to CTC are available on a regular basis.
CTC is evidence-based to help lower rates of youth problem behaviors, including:
substance use | violence | delinquency | school drop out | teen pregnancy | depression
Communities That Care (or CTC) guides communities through a five-phase change process using prevention science. Many communities that use the CTC process see dramatic reductions in levels of youth alcohol and tobacco use, crime and violence.
We want to break the multi-generation cycles of depression, substance use, and other issues that keep our young people from flourishing. When healthier teens become healthier adults, every aspect of our communities improve!
